While in Texas helping with the disaster clean-up and restoration from the severe weather they had this past Feburary, our crew stopped at the famous Corkscrew BBQ for a well deserved lunch!

Our marketing team donated delicious Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies to the St. Michael’s School Valentines Online Dessert Auction. The auction is held on their Facebook page on the evening of the 12th and morning of the 13th (of February). Be sure to check it out and bid on our cookies!

Back in 2005 our Marketing Manager, Dustin Whittles, competed with his younger Brother Dylan in soap box derby with the Lions Club. While Dustin is now a little big for his old soap box car he has great memories from when you used to compete.

On November 21st, the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office held their 4th Annual Stuff the Squad Food Drive in Lexington Park. SERVPRO of St. Mary's and Calvert Counties was able to donate multiple boxes of a variety of canned foods, baby formula/food and diapers. We thank the St. Mary's Sheriff's Office for putting on yet another wonderful event. 

Team SERVPRO at the Calvert County Chamber of Golf Tournament!

Team SERVPRO participated in the St. Mary's County Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament held at the Breton Bay Golf Course. Team SERVPRO was represented by Dustin, Chad, Sherry and Trish. 

On Novemeber 22 SERVPRO of St. Mary's and Calvert Counties received recognition for their 2019 Gala Sponsorship. Vince Whittles serves on the Medstar St. Mary's Board of Directors and is also the Chairman of the Philanthropy Committee. This year SERVPRO was considered a Diamond Sponsor for the Hospital Gala. The funds raised from the 2019 Gala will be reserved to improve the experince of new mothers and families in MedStar St. Mary's Women's Health & Family Birthing Center.

This event was held at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center for an opportunity for chamber members to set up booths to network with others, along with a lunch-in and awards. 

Owner, Sherry Whittles, is a leader in St. Mary's Counties networking group called Today's Connected Women. TWC is a women's business networking group created to facilitate and build relationships amongst other women in the business world. It is an opportunity for women to network as well as educate others. Our own, Sherry Whittles, represents SERVPRO of St. Mary's and Calvert County while welcoming all others to join the group. 

At the 2018 St. Mary's County Chamber of Commerce annual meeting and awards dinner SERVPRO of St. Mary's and Calvert's owner, Sherry Whittles, received the prestigious "Business Person of the Year" award.  This award is presented to someone who has proven to not only be a successful member of the local business community but also a dedicated member of the chamber of commerce.  Sherry's dedication to the chamber has been apparent by donation of company assets to assist with chamber events, holding positions on two committees and being a founding member of the "Todays Connected Women" networking group.  The entire SERVPRO of St. Mary's and Calvert team is happy to wish Sherry a big congratulations!
